FIS was delighted to be involved in the Ed Sheeran: Made in Suffolk Legacy Auction to raise funds for GeeWizz. This amazing Suffolk charity raises money for children and young adults in East Anglia who are coping with life-threatening conditions or disabilities.
The Auction featured personal items donated by Ed Sheeran and his family, and was also supported by international musicians, artists and sports legends. Bidders were able to choose from a wide range of fine dining, hospitality, entertainment, sporting and live music experiences including the chance to attend the 2022 GRAMMY Awards.
Having previously worked with GeeWizz in their fundraising efforts, we were thrilled to be involved in the auction and agreed to donate one of our composite doors as an auction lot. We’re delighted to say that this donation went some way to helping raise the whopping £506,000 achieved!!
GeeWizz’s founder told us that “all proceeds from the auction will help GeeWizz children’s charity build a much-needed playground at the Thomas Wolsey Ormiston Academy and Zest (St Elizabeth Hospice) to fund specialist nurses and an outreach programme that will support children, teenagers, and young people across East Anglia with special educational needs, high dependency disabilities, life-limiting illness, and cancer”.
