Create that WOW factor with a stylish new orangery

Originally built for the aristocracy as part of their large estates, orangeries are once again becoming increasingly popular with homeowners looking to add a stylish extension to their home.

Unlike a conservatory, an orangery is mostly built of brick and has large windows and lantern roofs to allow the light to flood in.

They are a great way to add extra space to your home and many customers choose to add bi-fold doors to create a beautiful garden room, seamlessly blending into their outside space.

We have installed many Orangeries across Suffolk in different shapes and sizes. So if you’re considering adding to your existing home we can help!

Orangery Installations

A gorgeous new orangey installed last month in Ipswich. Designed so the fascia’s and soffits, windows and French doors all match in agate grey to nicely tie everything in together. The leaded glass in the windows also used to contribute to the ‘country manor’ feel of the build as well as to break up the space a little. The Ultraframe Ltd classic lantern really is the cherry on top of the cake, this created such a spacious feel to the orangery and really elevated the natural light coming into the room.

Building regs all planned and organised by FIS

As always, stunning work from all our subcontracts who we really couldn’t recommend more…

  • I.S Electrical – electricians / spotlights
  • DBF UK – builders / base & brickwork
  • Callum Davies – plumber / radiators
  • R J Dean Plasterers – plastering

Orangeries and Planning Permission

Orangeries and conservatories are generally classed as permitted developments and therefore do not usually require planning permission.  They must however meet the required permitted development criteria (otherwise you will need to apply for the relevant permissions).

If you’re thinking of adding an orangery (or conservatory) to your home, but are unsure of the regulations, just give us a call or request a call back.  Our experienced designers can talk you through the options and advise on the best solution to suit your home and needs.
